problems after intake work

So i recently did some intake work on my 1988 Na rx7 including taking upper and lower intake off to change a port actuator rod that snapped and i put atkins rotary 6 port sleeves in while i had everything off, i put all new gaskets in on reassebly and bought a new battery and 2 new alternator belts(double pulley with emissions removed).

ok so heres the problem the car is running rough and alot of the time it will die unless its warm and even when warm its idling at about 400 rpm and running rough then the idle will go up a bit for a few seconds then drop back down. the car is backfiring alot on deceleration and shooting flames, ik every vacuum line is right except the 2 on the thermal pellet and the one coming in right there thats on a throttle cable type thing.

This is how i have the 3 vacuum lines right now the one with the yellow ziptie goes to green and black check valve then to the thing on the front of the tb, the other one on the thermal pellet goes straight down to the line closest to driver side of the car and the last one is the one coming in with the cable from the little container in the passenger side and goes straight down to closest connection

Check for vacuum leaks plus make sure the connector for the water thermosensor didn't come loose.

Keep checking for vacuum leaks. Make sure the AFM is plugged in. Adjust the TPS with multimeter.

Visual inspection for vacuum leaks has little to no value. Again, make sure the connector to the water thermosensor is good, make sure the connection to the BAC is good, make sure the connection to the primary injectors are good.

Spray some starting fluid or even Gumout around the manifold gaskets and listen for the idle to raise. If it does, you have a vacuum leak. You said snapped actuator rod, were all the pieces there when you took it apart?

I had the same exact thing happen..removed both manifolds to clean the sleeves, replaced vac lines and gaskets. Started-died. I ended up taking everything off and starting from scratch, being careful to torque bolts to spec. Ran fine after that, but I would have sworn it wouldn't because I actually didn't find anything loose, etc. No idea what I fixed...
