Problem with TII

I'm looking at a TII, and the seller said that there was something wrong with the oil cooler line or oil cooler return line. This a major problem to fix? He also said something about a turbo seal, is that also a major problem to fix?

Oil cooler lines don't seem to be much of a hassle to fix, but if the oil seal goes out on the turbo, the only cure for that is to rebuild/replace the turbocharger.

Offer him $650 tops. That's all it's worth. Then spend money, much more money to fix the problems. Say $2000 bucks or so. Just an opinion you can ignore if you want.

It's an '87, I accidently put '89. Everything is stock except it has the LSD off of a GTU. 40k miles on rebuilt motor.

you could use it as a point to talk him down some ... its not a crazy hard job but not something you want to have to do directly after buying the damn thing ...

meh .. it gives you a reason to go to stainless steel lines ... it'll never happen again

I talked to him again, he's about 75% sure its the oil lines because the turbo seal looks intact (is it easily visable?) How much could I talk him down if it was the oil lines only, not the turbo seals?
