i just did the passenger back tire tonight and i did the drivers front last night.

i had the same squeaky breaks too. i would try hawk pads. i have seen/heard an rx7 before the brake job, then after with hawk pads and freshly cut rotors. no squeak. now only the tires i havent done squeak. so i think it was just a build up of brake dust. cus i havent put new pads on yet.

Yes, new pads usually squeek while they are being broken in. That's why you are supposed to drive easy for the first hundred or so miles after a break change... Unless you purchase nice brakes that are precut to prevent squeeking during break in...

Also, for the metal sound... have you actually removed the calipers and pads and inspected them, or did you just look at the outside pad through the rim? B/c it is likely that an inside pad fell out partially and it isnt seated properly (happens alot when the pads are improperly installed and the retaining clip falls out.)

It's probably worn out pads where the metal pad backing is starting to rub on the disc, causing the squealing. If it's squealing all the time then you may have stuck caliper pistons or slider pins, causing the pad to rub on the disc constantly. Another possibility is worn out or missing pad backing plates and springs. The little springs push the pads back off the rotors when the brakes aren't being applied, and the backing plates are supposed to help stop squealing. Another remote possibility is that you've got some sort of racing pads, those squeal, especially when they aren't hot, they shouldn't be used on the street. I'd only suspect that if it's a car that's new to you, but even then, racing pads aren't very common at all.

Take the pads out and check them, worn out pads are the most common cause, and you need to take them out to see them properly to acess whether or not they're worn out.

Well the rear calipers need to be screwed in, if you forced them with a clamp or something that might explain it.
