Primary injector leak (external)

So, during all my electrical crap and trouble shooting this and that i found i had a pretty significant gas leak. The smell was soo much stronger than it has been so i looked in the typical spots (i have no pd, banjo bolt mod was done) and found nothing. Fuel filter clamps and line are all new and properly fastened, all fuel hose clamps were good. I even protected them with some wrap to prevent vibration from rubbing them on metal.

I check my lim and it stinks so strong like gas and i see two puddles of liquid on either side of both injectors. Hmm. Weird. SImply because every o ring, pintle cap and filter basket is BRAND F-ING NEW with less than 100 miles on them.

The upper gaskets and o rings were pretty tight and if that was the cause of the leak i would have had fuel residue on those and the injector body. Nope, right there at the lower grommets where they go into the iron.

I noticed when i was fixing all this crap months ago that the previous owner had used a dab of rtv and spread it around the diffusers to get a better seal. I never had this fuel leak issue prior to cleaning all that crap out and redoing it.

So, i removed the injectors, inspected the o rings, made sure both banjo's and line fittings on the rail were secure, re-lubed every o ring and grommet and reinstalled. I haven't been able to start it yet since i'm stabbing at electrical problems but if the problem persists what should i do? Obviously: Get fire extinguisher but i'm looking for a better solution.

The rail spacer that sits between the rail and the iron may be the cause. I'm thinking i shave it down or use some washers instead to ensure a better seal? Thanks guys. Sorry i've been post whoring it up but if my car would quit screwing off and search would find exactly what i need without sorting through ten pages of bs, i wouldn't be wasting bandwidth here.

with the manifold off use the fuel pump diagnostic connector to help you pinpoint the leak

One thing you could do is jumper the fuel check connector, turn the key to on and grab a chair and watch intently for the source of the leak.

I changed Injectors about 10-12 times on my Build and each time I did the injector Swap I would hook up the Fuel lines and then Jump the Fuel Diagnostic connector to see if the Lines and what-nots were holding pressure.
I didn't want to have it all together and then Find out I had a Leak somewhere...so IT is a Handy Piece of Info.
As The "Man" says,It will help you pinpoint the leak, and you don't have to have the engine all together,. You just have to Have the fuel system intact.

Well, i have no idea where said connector is, otherwise i would.

I KNOW where the leak is, that's not a problem. The problem is fixing the leak and why i've got fuel pissing from the iron-to-injector grommet areas vs it just flooding my motor.

Also figured out this only happens under load. Free reving and idle, i get no fuel leaking. It's only when i drive.

I've never scratched my head at a car so much before. It's a handful, that's for sure. I refuse to give up though.

i have a puddle of fuel acumulated on the front rotor housing and the fuel injector harness is melted to ****, would it be because of 'the injector to the rail' o ring? or the injector to iron grommits?

use the same method arghx and satch mentioned to find where the fuel is coming from.

if it has electrical tape on the harness it will appear melted because the fuel will make all the adhesive come off and ooze all over the harness.

(remember to tape up the intake ports!)
