Pressure Sensor hose

What happens if i removed the pressure sensor hose off? I dont know if it was me, but when i removed it and drove the car around, it felt A BIT faster? Is this bad? What does it do?

The ECU will use an internal preset pressure signal if it loses the normal input. It is one of the many signals used for fuel scheduling & driveability issues. If it seems she runs better, you've got other problems...
