Pressure Sensor Code-some help please

Hi all: On my 90 N/A GTU with 122K miles on the engine, my mileage decreasing, fuel smell in the oil. I just got a #13 code reading-the manifold pressure sensor. Can someone 'connect the dots' for me? This sensor is $292 at my local Mazda dealer!
By the way I am also getting a Code 12-TPS full range, which I have been ignoring/living with for 3 months as performance is still strong with no idle or acceleration problems. This part is $325-
Any help will be appreciated.

Make sure the pressure sensors plug is on. Then check that the vac hose is on at both ends. If all is as described, erase the codes per the manual and then start the car up and see if the pressure code has disappeared.

Usually the pressure sensor is bullet proof unless the hose or plug falls off.
