RB has more than one pre-silencer. you nee the correct one depending if you have an S4 S5 AUTO VERT etc. yes they do bolt on to the streetable header and the Y-pipe.

why do you want a presilencer? You don't drive a Kia. A rotary is supposed to be loud.

their are a million how-to's to fix that on this forum. Their is no reason to have them unless your grandfather drives your RX.

Auxilary ports make the car more drivable. You loose enough low end to make the car feel like crap. The other day I tried this and I almost kicked my car cuz it sucks ***** down low. I don't like to drive at 4k rpms in traffic its annoying and wastes more gas than needs to be wasted.

Not to mention you don't gain **** from wiring them open.

If you don't want a pre-silencer get a high flow cat that goes with the header you have.

www.racingbeat.com is where you do and guy them

which gives more power? presilencer or high flow cat? does the presilencer take away any power?

The pre-silencer will probably give better power. All it is really would be like a straght through muffler but with SS and CERAMIC wool inside of it to muffle the sound.

I would say the presilencer gives more power because any cat is a restriction whether it is high flo or not.

By the way kd86rx7 bought my 91 NA. Congratulations.

I just picked up my 89 TII last nite. Congratulations to me.

The raod race header does not collect. The true duals I have use this type of header and then use an extension that spits the two pipes apart a bit to allow for the silencers that come with the Duals to fit in tandom, The True Duals from what I can tell use 12A silencers while the ones that are used with the streetable header are made for the FC so its not them same silencer we are dealing with. I guess you could do the same thing but you would need two silencers and a collector or extensions to make your own true duals.
