PREMIX: Just want to make sure

I just wanted to make sure u guys approve this for use in my n/a

the bottle clearly says TCW3 but I just wanted to make sure this stuff is going to be adequate to use in the tank of my RX7

one last thing is as of now I am leaving the stock OMP but I want to premix for the little "added protection" what do u guys think 1/2oz 2 cycle per gallon of gas? more or less?

thx in advance guys

If you're gonna do it - do IT!!! Yank the pump.

Those pint bottles are perfect for a tank of gas.

Only problem - you have to leave the pump plugged in. Mine sits where the charcoal canister used to be.

I take it I need a blockoff plate to remove my OMP? Does that mean I still need to replace my OMP if it is malfunctioning?

as of now I am not going to pull the omp, maybe at some time I will but I have no plans to right now...

but I am just wondering if this is the right stuff and would u say 1/2oz mix to 1 gallon of gas since I still have the omp working?

If you take it off, you need a blockoff plate.

An S5 won't run on the stock ECU without a functioning OMP hooked to the harness.

But WHY?

My car ran for 200,000+ miles on the stock OMP. Would have run longer if I hadn't yanked it to install a turbo motor.

Yes that will work - I use plain Wal Mart brand because I have no OMP connected - 1oz/gal.

Adding more with a functioning OMP is not needed but 1/2 oz is okay I suppose.

*YOUR* car ran for 200k miles.... but the electric OMP is known for being LESS reliable than the mechanical one.. So, your results may vary. There IS an ECU you can buy that will run without the OMP for the S5..... Called Rtek7.. http://www.pocketlogger.com/?pid=rte...age=1&ecu=S5NA

SpooledUp: I would run very little unless you have your cats removed/gutted. Excess oil being burned will clog your cats. I run a little 2cycle in addition to my OMP... from time to time.... but, I run very little.. and most of the time I run MMO (marvel mystery oil) because I feel that its better all around than actual oil AND has lubrication properties. MMO promotes a nice healthy, clean engine.

As far as how much you should use.. .I typically put 1/4 of a quart in each full tank, sometimes less. 1/4 feels like too little, but, I don't have emissions in my area, and if I had to, i could completely rape my cats with little guilt. If you have to pass emissions standards in your area, I would be careful what you blow through them.

I have no cats, just a pre silencer... I will be removing all my emissions this winter (egr etc)

so I am not worried about clogging anything up.. I just want to have the little added security..

u say u use 1/4 a quart per fill up that is 8oz.... I was thining of using 5 oz per 10 gallons..

Yeah, that is actually the exact same premix I am using at the moment. I normally use the penzoil stuff which is cheaper, but they were out last time so I bought that stuff. It seems to work very well.
As for the amount, generally people recommend to run 250:1 to 300:1 if you still have your omp. 1/2 oz. per gal is equal to 264:1, so that should be fine.

I have been running that oil in my T2 since I rebuilt it an removed all of the emissions equipment. I run 1oz/gal and have never had a problem with it.1/2oz per gallon is what I have read to add if you still have your omp in functioning order.

What is the advantage of running premix and no OMP? Other than the fact that the OMP can fail at anytime and you won't really know.

Mixing oil is designed to burn, where motor oil is not. This reduces carbon deposits significantly.
