Look, their is a post going right now that is a fair write up on how to do the omp removal mod. Look over it if you havent already. Next, get a friend to come over and get like three cans of carb cleaner. Have your friend start the car and then you spray around the IM untill you hear a change in engine speed. BAM, found your leak. Good luck.

Really bad vaccum leak. If its squealing, and keeps dying, thats the problem. I had the same thing happen to me. Lower intake wasnt bolted on all the way.

I spent about 2 hours helping him through this, hehe, between his shiotty battery, his not bolting stuff down, and his leaving the intake duct to the AFM unhooked, he was doing good.

Yeah, he had a number of things going on.
Dead battery
intake manifolds not bolted together properly (only one bolt)
old spark plugs
intake duct off
excessive flooding

Needless to say it took quite a while of talking before it finally started

TRU TO THAT!

tru.. I thank all of you guys for your help i think that the reason why it seems to stall at start up is because i haven't bolted down the upper an dlower manifold with all the bolts im missing the one all the way on the left and the one on the back of it?? u think that might be why?? its only 2 bolts...???

It could be part of it, or you could have some more vac leaks that you haven't found yet, get some carb cleaner and start looking!

I think we have always done something wrong..and the way we face our problems is what really matters. After i broke the diffusers i could of given up and sold the car for 500 bucks... but did I? No, it took me 7 days and a lot of help from both the forum includeing the assistance of 1987rx7guy and Sonicrat to help me with it; along with a lot a lot of patience. I didn't give up and from now on i will pay more attention and ask questions to any if not all write-up procedures.

You live and learn, though, I definatly recommend learning before living, as it yields better results, but in the end, it worked out good

the only way you learn to play w/ these cars yourself is by doing things hands on and over and over. you're bound to make some small stupid mistakes and bigger more important ones, all part of learning how to work on your car. i wouldn't attempt setting the car up w/ premix and removing the OMP without my brothers shop people helpin out but u get props for diving in and learning first hand. w/ vacuum lines it helps to use labels/color codes to be sure everything goes back the right way (for the inexperienced) or draw a simple diagram to refer to if you don't have a service manual. leaving the UIM loose is actually kinda funny but you fixed it, it works and all thanks to the help of the people on the forum!!! congradulate yourselves guys, sharing knowledge is wha this is all about!!!!!!!
