PREMIX ... I got the diffuser...but my car still doesn't start!..please help me !

Hello, guys.
I got the diffusers from atkins for the primary injectors yesterday. I put everything back in place, but still the car won't crank.
1. The car doesn't leak anymore fuel ( it did before because i had bolted down the fuel injector holes instead of the oil injector holes while doing the premix mod)
2. before the car died, it had 2.5 gallons of gas and 5 ounces of 2 stroke oil TCW3 certified.. added after i removed the omp...
3. I checked the battery at walmart and they said it has voltage and is good to go..
4. the main fuse blew.. because i tried puting my dad's battery on it.. i bought a new 32v 80Amp fuse.
5. I have added 1 teaspoon of 2 stroke oil inside the top spark plug holes.( for lubrication)
6. the car is not leaking all the lights work fine. when I turn teh key to on; it reads 12v. when i try to start it it reads 8.5v but i guess thats normal since it usually goes rigth up when the engine starts( the car its not cranking at all )..
7. Their is a small amount of smoke coming out from teh mufflers it smells like gas so i know the car is getting oil.. what could it be?
if you need anymore information please contact me at eflores@bestnetpc.com or at aol: sexyspanishdude

So, its turning over? or not? I assume so because you said smoke is coming out of the mufflers. Do you know if its getting fuel and spark?

If so check the CAS plug to make sure its connected.

vegeta6263 05-03-03 04:19 PM

the spark is good. ( new wires )
yeah i guess it starts as if it was flooded.. but i have tried all tehunflodding methods/.... nothing works...
whats the CAS?

please guys i need your help!!!!

kep0ne 05-03-03 06:01 PM

its not turning over? if the engine bay fuses are ok, check the interior fuses. if those are ok, check your starter connections, tap it with a hammer a few times and try again. if it still wont crank maybe your starter is fried.

but your description sounds like its just flooding. pull the EGI fuse and crank it with the throttle wide open. this should get most of the gas out. try starting it again.

if that doesnt work, you may have to pull the plugs, clean em out. crank the engine with the plugs out and you'll see all the gunk flowing out of there. dry out the plugs, put em back in and try to start again.

btw thats WAY too much premix in there. its supposed to be 1 oz per gallon of fuel. so you have twice as much premix as you're supposed to right now.

vegeta6263 05-03-03 06:10 PM

shouldi add 2 more gallons of gas?
also im gonna intechange the injectors.. it seems one injector has a larger nipple thatn the others.

vegeta6263 05-03-03 09:17 PM

Hey guys the car is being charged by a 12v battery charger... after being charged for about 1 hour.. i tried to start it and while starting it; at the end of every turn i could hear a click ( injectors working fine, right?)... it seem almost about to crank but nothing im gonna let it charge overnight... also the lights on the doors used to come up before even with out the keys.. and now all of a sudden the lights won't come up anymore..?? could that be a fuse or a connection?

MasteRX 05-03-03 11:50 PM

Like everyone else said, check fuses. If you have a multimeter, you can check voltages at the starter and such.

vegeta6263 05-04-03 05:55 AM

ALL THE FUSES ARE GOOD... where is that starter located so i can hammer it?

SonicRaT 05-04-03 06:24 AM

Well, first of all, who removed the oil injectors and presumably the omp? What exactly do you mean you plugged the fuel injector holes instead of the oil injectors and it caused a leak? How would you have even mounted the injectors again? I'm guessing you have 2 problems at the moment, not enough know-how to have done what you did, and a major vac leak that's letting too much unmetered air and not enough gas into your engine. Open the stock airbox (if you still have it) remove the filter, and stick your finger in the air flow meter and hold it open slightly while someone tries to start the car, see if you can get it to start (open it slowly while cranking and see what happens) If it starts, then stalls when you take your finger off, well there's a bad vac leak. Also, why do you want to go beat on your starter? If the starter turns the motor, there's no need to hit it.

vegeta6263 05-04-03 06:36 AM

Yes, you are right... I bolted down the fuel primary injectors down with a bolt ... the bolt barely reached half of the diffuser so it didn't hurt the engine. Anyways i took off teh bolts and the diffuser all complete.(meaning nothing fell on the engine.) I bought new diffusers an dput the injectors back in ( actually i switch them just in case... u know the primaries on the secondaries and the secondaries on the primaries.. I hear them CLICK rigth after each starting sound ( like when the car is flodded u know ) ... ummm im lost .. i don't kow what to do.. i took out this long metal stick that came from where the omp was.. did i needed that? it had a little arm on teh bottom in a shape of a Q. Right now my throttle body is all the way open... I haven't put the intake back on.

vegeta6263 05-04-03 06:37 AM

BY the way.... i think u are into something here.. u really know what u are talking about.. thanx for helping me out man.

SonicRaT 05-04-03 06:38 AM

You do realize you *HAVE* to have the intake hooked up or your car won't start right? The AFM won't turn the fuel pump on unless the door opens, and the door can't open unless there's vacuum on it, which won't happen unless the intake is attached. :) In simple terms, that's probably why it won't start! Hook your intake back up to the TB and give it a try!

Oh, btw, that rod you removed is the OMP rod, since you've gone premix there's no need for it, so it's ok to remove it. Do what I said above and it should start up without a hitch!

vegeta6263 05-04-03 06:40 AM

Im an asshole:D ... but i have tried to started with the intake on. but that was before excahnging th fuel injectors ill give it a try.

SonicRaT 05-04-03 06:42 AM

oh, be sure that when you swap injectors, you keep the wiring correct, else your secondaries will be firing when your primaries should/etc. Anyway, hook up the intake/etc and give that a try, then if that doesn't work do the air flow meter door trick I mentioned above, if that still doesn't work let me know, i'm full of things to try :)

vegeta6263 05-04-03 06:45 AM

it seemed liek it was abou to .. but nothing so far... im gonna try taht thign u told me with the intake u mean i have to take out teh airfilter cover?

SonicRaT 05-04-03 06:46 AM

If you have to stock airbox, yes. Take the cover off, pull out the filter, and reach your hand down in there and open the little flapper door on the airflow meter.

vegeta6263 05-04-03 06:55 AM

nothing man i opened it like half way and nothing...

SonicRaT 05-04-03 06:57 AM

Check your AIM messages ;)

vegeta6263 05-04-03 08:54 AM

My battery has a 525 cold cranking amp.. is that maybe why is notb starting?

ForsakenRX7 05-04-03 11:32 AM

Man, when you eliminated the OMP. Are you positive you reconnected everything? Especially vacuum lines. Make sure there are no intake leaks. Excess air is a no start situation.

vegeta6263 05-04-03 11:48 AM

HEY GUYS!
IT STARTED!!!!!!
it threw alot of fucking smoke like crazy
The problem is that it has a high pitch noise after 2k like it gets higher and higher as i press on the gas.
Also it dies when i let of the gas pedal.. it just dies.. it starts right up when i turn the key but still.. what should i do??? Im happy i got it to start but why is it stalling so much and that high pitch noise from the engine?????

Rotory 05-04-03 10:31 PM

Bad vac leak man listen to what everyone is telling you...check your TID, check all vac lines going into the intake manifold in the back, check the three vac lines right by the OMP i bet you left them off. Check and double check!

BlackRx7 05-04-03 11:01 PM

Just a thought but when you put the block off bolts fuel injectors holes did a bit of the diffusers fall into the engine? if so then you really do need to rebuild your motor....

Bambam7 05-04-03 11:07 PM

Sounds exactly like a bad vacuum leak to me... I bet any money you are just overlooking a big hose somewhere.. and I bet you are going to just shake your head and kick yourself when you find it. Everyone's done it.
