PowerFC and Hybrid Turbo... What size injectors?

I have a knightsports hybrid s4 turbo. I plan on doing a street port when I rebuild my engine. I also have a full exhaust and vmount. Banzai requires you to include your injector size when purchasing the PowerFC S4 adaptor. What size injectors should I be running?

The amount of fuel you need is really dependent on the amount of boost you want to run and the amount of power you are trying to make. We only require your injector sizes to create the base map for you.

I'm not sure. That's why I asked! I need to know before I make my purchase for the adaptor kit with you!

If you do not know then you are better off over building the fuel system so you do not have an issues. Lot's off people drop in 1600 secondaries keeping the stock primaries and find that is plenty of fuel for their setups, since it is good for around 500 fwhp.

Does your engine have low impedence or high impedence injectors from the factory? Generally 88 models are high impedence and 87 models are low impedence + resistor box, depending on build date.

I have low impedance (red) as identified from http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/2n...ctor_info.html

Thank you for your input guys!

If you are low impedence then you can get drop-in low impedence 1000cc easily. I think there are also drop-in 1600's as well.

BUT you said you have red injectors--if you have an s4 T2 with the OEM 550cc low impedence injectors they should be tan. There should also be a resistor box under the hood.

How much power are you putting down? because I'm leaning toward a BNR stage 4, too (to go with my Rotary Extreme vmount) and I want an idea of what I'll need for injectors. I was thinking two sets of 1200cc's, but I already have two 720cc's and those would be easier for tuning purposes (rTek2.1).

You would be pushing it w/ 1200's w/an rtek as they are right on the outside edge of the adjustment range.
720/1000 should be good for as much as you get out of a stg 4 and would be easier to tune.

BNR states on their site they've put down 402rwhp on a stage 4... 400rwhp is my goal, the vmount should make it possible (with injectors and FPR). I'm thinking 720/1000 wouldn't cut it. I need to do more research though.

I'm running 750/1000 on a stage 3 BNR(@15 psi) and I am at 95% duty cycle on my secondaries.
the engine wants fuel!.

About that.....
The problem is the stock boost sensor only reads to 14.7 psi, so you have to load up the fuel in the top row of cells to try to compensate for all boost over that level. Also the stock afm only reads up to like 400cfm and 30lb/min however it will flow more, making tuning these areas......troublesome.

Styx:
what afr are you seeing? Any idea on power output w/the stage 3?

The rTek 2.1 offers MAP based timing, and the fuel corrections are RPM vs boost, too... I guess I don't know, can the AFM be removed that way? The stock boost sensor does present a problem for sure though.

I read that the fc has 11mm top feed. A lot of injectors are 14mm. What injector brands offer 11mm? I've also heard of modifying others. Please point me in the proper direction.

its better to remove fuel than it is to add. adding fuel is a pain in the dick, but overshooting your goal is 100% meant to be done. you can tune for it. you cant tune for 100% duty cycle on your injectors.

marren and kg parts are very knowledgeable, I just ordered 2000s from marren and couldnt be happier with the service I got from them

I probably would have ordered them from KG again like my first set of injectors but they dont sell 2000s. I will be taking my 1680s out next week and putting them up for sale but you cant use them ( mentioning it for others who might be reading )

Am I looking at the right type of thing? It's low ohm. What's Japanese style o-ring? Can you mix and match different lb/hr for primaries and secondaries? Will they even fit?

well,I never see 14.7,that is for sure!
I have about 12's at idle..between 9 something and up to high 10's on boost.
I got the Haltech PS1000 so nothing really is stock except for the Speedo!..haha!d
The guy that Tuned it(Thewird) kept an eye on fuel..and made sure that the car would have it!
NO idea of Power output,I just know that the car will accelerate and it pushes you in your seat!.nicely.
