Hey guys, First post so Ill try to make it detailed.
First off I’ve just got a 1990 Non Turbo Vert, it’s got 107k miles on it and runs great, no smoke or hesitations. The one problem IS that my driver side window doesn’t go down. I hear the motor trying but nothing moves (im thinking the window is off the tread), is this common?
Also I took it to Mazda and they wanted $600 in parts alone to fix it. Does anyone have any advice?

look in the classifieds for a window regulator for a convertible. first look then post wanted to buy, or call any number of specialty yards that handle only rx7 like RX7 heaven. If you are able to you might want to take off the door panel and have a look inside. Search FSM or Factory Service Manual and you can find a copy of the manual on this forum it will help you find all the screws without breaking anything.

I am having the same issue. Replaced mine 2 years ago and the car has only been driven 20 miles and now it won’t go but a fourth of the way up and motor is making a clicking sound like it’s trying. Unable to find a replacement one so I would also like any suggestions for a fix or replacement. My repair person is saying $1000 for just the part if they could find one.
