newbie! advice on horrible dashboard and window problems on rx7
Sorry if I have put this in the wrong place, but i am very much new to this, hah.
I have my own rx7 1985 model. I bought it from a private dealer for a rather cheap price. The only problem was that the dashboard interior was horrible, and the drivers door window will not move up or down, like it is permentally stuck and will only move a fraction. I don't know much about cars, so I apologise if my problems are a bit obvious. I was just wondering if the dashboard is fixable/can be fixed by an amature, or is it best to go to a professional? and how do I get this window working ? I am thinking it is has gone off the tracks, so will I need to pull the whole window out and realign?? sorry again for the ramble, I am very confused.
thank you for your time! here are some photos!

first off, welcome. always good to see the women getting into the game. i believe that dash is beyond repair. probably better off looking for a replacement. as for the window, it's hard to tell in the pic with all the reflections but is it manual or electric? manual; probably just needs cleaned and lubricated. electric; the motor could be bad or contacts in the switch need cleaning. either way u'll need to remove the door panel to gain access. hard to believe the dash is in such bad condition but the outside looks that good.

thank you very much for your reply!
yeah, I was thinking it would definitely have to come down to replacing it. You wouldn't know if this would be expensive or not, would you? oh i am sorry for not stating if it were electric or manual. It is an electric window I will definitely take the door panel off then and check the motor. yeah, it is a pity, but i will take your advice and get that fixed
thank you again.
