Power Window Made Snapping Sound, Now Doesn't Work

Arrow Power Window Made Snapping Sound, Now Doesn't Work

i was rolling up my window the other day and heard a snapping crunch sound in my door , now my window doesnt roll up or down. does anybody know where to get a new motor for the window for cheap. thanks gil

driver side, i heard this snapping sound then no roll up or down, lol i was pissed

probably not the motor, but rather the cord for the regulator.

Window motors almost never fail. I have only seen one bad motor is 20 years.

On the subject of power windows, on my S5 the passanger window get really slow when its about 3-4 inches from the top of the door. What might cause it to slow like that?

misalignment, dirty track, etc.

hah! i have the same thing...both of my windows go up slow but the passenger side seems like it slows down way more when it's about 3/4th way up...one time it stopped going up i had to "help" it with my hand :p

Yes , when i think about it sound like it is the cord. the sound it made sounded like a cord snapping . where can we get the cord for the window. the dealership?? i hate thoses f------ckers. lol

I think I have a driver side one that is in good working condition, just needs the motor internals and casing swapped over. But check what you need before looking for parts.

is this the vert?

Coupe power window regulators are not the same and can not be swapped in.

You can rebuild the cord, there are write ups in the archive and on teamfc3s, but you can usually find the vert power window regulators on ebay for less than $100 for a brand new one.

Or go to the dealer and spend the $200 or so
