probably not the motor, but rather the cord for the regulator.

Window motors almost never fail. I have only seen one bad motor is 20 years.

On the subject of power windows, on my S5 the passanger window get really slow when its about 3-4 inches from the top of the door. What might cause it to slow like that?

misalignment, dirty track, etc.

I think I have a driver side one that is in good working condition, just needs the motor internals and casing swapped over. But check what you need before looking for parts.

is this the vert?

Coupe power window regulators are not the same and can not be swapped in.

You can rebuild the cord, there are write ups in the archive and on teamfc3s, but you can usually find the vert power window regulators on ebay for less than $100 for a brand new one.

Or go to the dealer and spend the $200 or so
