Power Steering turning off above 30mph
Alright so I own a 1988 vert rx7, I've been driving it around a bit everyday, and I noticed that it's harder to drive around 30mph and up. but from 30mph and below I can feel the power steering working. So I did some research and found out that the power steering shuts off at 30+mph. My question is...that if anyone knows any possible way of stopping the power steering from turning off. Thanks for the help.

You dont want PS at high speeds, you loose all road feel and are more likely to make an overcorrection at high speeds with it.
If you arent feeling PS at those speeds then the PS is workign perfect.

Wow, SonicRaT, the dog agrees with you. Thought that would never happen. Last time I was going 100, I thought to myself, boy , It sure would be nice have PS around this corner, that way I wouldn't strain the muscles in my brain figuring out the precise time as to rotate this round thing in my hands. Anyone else with some intelligent question to ask?
Here's one: If my car won't start, does that mean that the air in my tires are low? Or does the winshield need to be washed? come on folks.

Yea, you dont need power steering at high speeds. I remember the first time I did a feint drift with my rx with lsd and ps in the rain... I was going pretty fast, and almost lost it because of oversteer, couldnt feel the pressure from the steering wheel and it spun way too easy. That same day I took off the ps and never experienced that problem again...(but I also have learned way more techniques to driving since then.. he he he)
