power steering not returning?

Hey, i have an 90 TII with a working power steering pump...however, when i make U turns or turn the wheel more than 90 degrees, it usually does not return by itself...or it will return real slowly in which case I usually have to manually turn it back in order to go straight again...I dont think the pump is the issue because it is very easy to turn the wheel when the car is not moving...anyone know what might be causing this? thanks

I have the same behavior with a manual rack. I don't see it as a problem, just a characteristic.

Worn suspension/steering components, or poor alignment. It has nothing to do with power steering.

sounds like a possible camber issue. check and replace worn suspension components and have the car aligned professionally.
