Question Power steering harness

Did all 1990 S5s come with the power steering harness or just the ones that actually had the power steering option?
I have a 1990 GTU / T2 swap that I can not find the wiring for the power steering. The power steering pump that can with the car had the wires chopped but I have a pump with the wires attached.

thanks

They all should share the same harness (S5 TII or S5 N/A), which means the plug will be there. There are two different types of power steering, systems and you need to make sure you know which one goes with the car (more like the harness and ECU) you are putting it in or it won't work:

Thanks for the link. I hadn't read that one yet.
My 7 was originally a 1990 GTU. The previous owner did a T2 swap and then proceeded to blow the rear rotor.
I (with help) swapped in another 1990 T2 motor.
The lines on the PS pump are the same but I can not find the wiring. Maybe the PO removed it. The blown motor had power steering but the wiring harness on the pump was chopped. I have no idea if it ever worked.

This will surely be my first and last T2 swap.
