power steering doesn't work

im buying a 90 na tomorow. it has 86k miles and its in good condition and everything works.

the power steering does not. he said it has fluid and just stopped working.

what is the worst case scenario to fix it?

whats a material cost? i want to use it as a bargaining chip.

If its just a bad power steering pump you can get one fairly cheap since a lot of people ditch their power steering.

It could also be because its leaking fluid, check to see if the level is going down and see if you see any leaks, could be as simple as fixing what's leaking.

I'm gonna say $25-50 bucks for a good used one, brand new ones will probably be expensive.

There's the other option of depowering your steering rack as well.
