power increase?

Hi, I'm planning on doing a turbo II swap in the summer and I was wondering what power gains I can expect from these mods to the TII engine I'm not in search of massive power but I just would like to know so I could plan on what suspension to get..... maybe Tein super drift coilovers.

HKS Hi-power catback exhaust, HKS downpipe, mazdatrix underdrive pullies, and HKS mega flow intake. Any ideas on what I can expect would be great Thanks!

P.S. the engine has about 32,000 miles on it.

I would get something other than the HKS intake. It is not very good at filtering the air. Get a K&N style cone filter (apex, bonez, etc). Those filter the best.

I found an Apex'i intake and it said "only for 89-91" would this fit? Also the car is a GXL would the suspension still handle it? I'm not sure if there is a big difference between the turbo II suspension and the GXL. Thanks,

2 years ish. basically two bends (3") two connections (3") and a reducer to mate it to the turbo inlet. You have to fill a little gap between the MAF and the 3" connector though.

Ported turbo(wastegate), full 3" exhaust, and full 3" intake (home depot w/ good K&N filter), at 10-12psi, should net you roughly 240-250rwhp. Of course, with this..you need fuel mods. 720's in the secondaries, Walbro 255, and a way to control them.

Any filter will work, you just need the adapter for it. For the 86-88 the AFM inlet is rectangular so the adapter is more expensive thatn the simple coupling used for s5's. You can get the adapter for not too much at autozone or on ebay, though.

just checked for AFM's around here and found several, so it looks like the Apex'i intake will be the one. Thanks for telling me that.

IMO, if you have to ask these questions, you aren't ready to do your own turbo swap. I think you need to do some more reading on this forum.. Start by clicking this link:

Man, I'm a dick

Enjoy,
Micah

hahaha, no I can do the swap its just that I basically wrote these parts down because I liked the quality and HKS has a good background but they didnt have a estimate of what the power gains might be. So I was just asking for peopls opinions. Thanks for the link though that could come in handy.
