thought id bring this topic back, but this time only realistic or preexisting stuff, like rotor beveling and coolant passage ribbing....

id like to create a upper intake that would allow the n/a to use the t2 hood as a cold air intake point

That would be hard, due to the intake being on the passenger side, and the hood scoop offset to the driver's side... If you wanted to keep the stock clutch fan/shroud, you could use the factory intake snorkel and run it "factory style" to a cold airbox with a dry ice chamber...

Here's a pic of my water jacket mods. BTW the hood things not going to work very well since your intake would have to do a 180.

I'd like to use a Ford MAF sensor in place of the factory flapper door - didn't someone try to make one work? Needed to make -12vdc for a reference voltage but couldn't figure the circuit out? I may have the answer now...

Would also like to find a 4 speed / OD tranny with an aluminum housing that will bolt up with minor mods. ~rich

Btw, he should look at the dellorto UIM for dellorto carburetors - then all he needs is some injector bungs welded in and make adapter plates to mount some throttle bodies if he wanted to stay EFI.

I am making my security/AAS/side view mirror panel, behind the shifter pop up and flip open to hide switches for various things that I do not want seen. I bought, from Home Depot a small hinge, a pop out magnet (used typically on glass doors on entertainment center) the pop up is gorilla glued to the hinge and that is gorilla glued to the panel you simply push down then flip open the panel to reveal switches.

interesting stuff guys. my plan is sort of like the mariah motorsports idea, but i plan on getting an extra hatch, busting the glass out, and fiberglassing a tonneau cover across the bottom, as well as side "walls" if you will, kinda like the back of a mr2. ehh thats all i really have at the moment. it looks good in my head, havent tried to bring it to life at all though...

One word, Rain. If you don't drive in the rain then don't worry about it.

I thought it would be neat to use manual door panels and route the drivers switch to the center console like a miata. No need for the passenger switch at that point.

Chris

Edit. Drivers power window switch.

When I get finished sorting out the mechanical bugs, and get around to doing the interior, mine will have one switch that opens the windows and the sunroof.

you would be better off just using the stock intake duct and making an extension to duct it to the front bumper rather than the hood.

Is it just because the filter would get wet or is it also not possible to set up a NA engine for water 'injection'?

i have always had the idea of makeing the t2 hood scoop into a intake. the way i always thought it could work would be like a mustang shaker hood scoop like the mach 1 has. but even on the mach 1, the intake only give like 5-10 hp only in high end

Im loving that pop open magnet idea, its brilliant.
Im gona put a coupler of switches on a relay or two so that i can have my headlights, dashlight and fog lights on but have no rear/brake lights on.... for when im upto mischeif and so it will make it that little bit easier to get away from the pigs coz they wont be able to see you if your far enough ahead of them as you cant see the front lights anyway from a little way back

I have made 2 protocals of the hood scoop/cold intake, although school and the lack of funds have limited my project.
