possible to use premix and OMP?

Is it possible to use premix AND still use the OMP? Maybe only add like 1/8 of a quart of 2 cycle. I'm just curious...

No reason why you couldn't. You might foul plugs more often, tho. That's cheaper to fix than tip seals! Just go easy on the oil you add.

i hate searching for things like this. all i found was questions reguarding OMP block offs and ratios for mixing. would i get any positive results out of this? would it run smoother with both systems running? my oil level never goes down. basically ive never had to add oil other than oil changes. so is my OMP non functional?

Searching the forum is an acquired skill, you have to acquire some common sense

From what I understand, the reason you're not losing oil is either because it is being diluted by fuel or your OMP is not functioning. If you can see oil in you omp lines (not a definitive test), then you're likely getting gas dilution. It's could also be a combination of the two I suppose.

i also have a bit of gas in my oil i think. that could be a reason why the oil "looks" constantly full.

I did this when I first got my engine back together, my plugs were always pretty dirty looking, I have since just went straight Idemitsu and blocked the OMP.

It won't run different at all. Technically there is a slight lowering of octane (diluted with oil) it's nothing noticable if you're mixing 300:1 or whatever you choose. Basically, with a working OMP (easily testable), it's just peace of mind.

You can send your oil off to Blackstone Labs (I think that's their name) and they'll test it for you. As in, tell you what's in it and dilution and such. If your OMP wasn't working, your engine would probably be screwed by now.
