Porting WG - Getting flapper open?

On the S5 turbo I am guessing you just bend the flat piece of metal on the outside of the hot side so you can open the flapper all the way.

Is that what I need to do? Don't see any other ways. Just don't wanna do anything boneheaded. Thanks

James

just take the elbo off and move the waste-gate actuator arm...it'll open fine...

no...the part that the down-pipe bolts to....the back plate or elbo or whatever you wanna call it. The part that covers the hot side...

While you're in there - think about this.

Is that a stock housing? Is it yours? How did it work? That makes me consider using two 3/4" ports...or an oblong one instead of a big round one....
