Porting Wastegate...HURRY?
Porting Wastegate...HURRY?
well i was just wondering if running a non ported wastegate with rtek and 720s was gonna hurt my engine...or my turbo...im not worried about the turbo as much because im in the process of porting the wastegate on my other turbo. but if its gonna hurt the engine then ill hurry up and get it done...

IS the turbo off? If so what are you waiting for? If you don't port it and it creeps, then you have to use your foot to control the amount of gas you're giving it. But it's not like it's a HUGE deal to get it done, just get it done, and watch your boost gauge.
You will **** **** up with an unported wastegate and those mods . .I see you have exhaust and intake. . You will probably see close to if not more than 18psi. . .You will blow your car up. . Just keep it below 12psi and you'll be fine ..
alright well i have been keeping my foot off the gas anyways because ive been so poor lately...ill finish up this weekend and get the new flapper welded on next week during the week...then the weekend after ill swap the turbo....ill just have to keep my foot off the gas...FOOT OFF THE GAS....FOOT OFF THE GAS...NEED SELF CONTROL!
haha ill just get it done

It's not a HUGE DEAL, I have a rTek 1.5, 550's all around running 11psi of boost, no ported WG, dd the car 22k miles last summer and still have a motor, it's all about the boost gauge.

Still not true, I have plenty of "WOT fun", just make sure yo watch the boost gauge, with that much fuel you can boost 15psi alright, might lean out a tad, but the turbo likely won't like it.
although not recommended by anyone, i ran 20psi with an FCD on stock injectors for the longest. stock turbo, stock IC. boost creep caused it. 3" intake , 3" exhaust. now i have a huge wastegate running 12psi and a Rtek 1.5, and i think it's slightly faster now.
