Porting wastegate?

So i plan on running more boost on my car soon, and my dad told me about simply drilling a hole on the wastegate, and putting a fitting on it to increase the pressure behind it. Is that possible with the stock s4 t2 wastegate? If not, could i just buy some other aftermarket dual port wastegate?

Dual port wastegate? Yes, you can upgrade to the S5 exhaust housing and manifold. It bolts right on.

FC3S Pro v2.0:* How-To - Zenki wastegate porting
FC3S Pro v2.0:&nbsp How-To - 1989-1991 Kouki FC3S Turbo Wastegate Porting

But doing that won't increase your boost pressure. It will prevent what's known as "boost creep", which can happen from a free flowing exhaust and stock wastegate. If you want more boost pressure, start by porting the wastegate. That will keep you safe for the next few modifications. Get a wideband o2 sensor and gauge, a boost gauge, and then a manual boost controller.

I generally don't recommend raising boost pressure unless you really know what you're doing, and you have a full understanding of air/fuel ratios.

Already got the boost gauge, a/f gauge, and the boost controller. I plan on porting the wastegate next weekend. Currently running a 3" strait, and i've seen up to 8.5psi creepin.

But thanks, i'll deffinately look into getting an s5 wastegate.

Here's a great S4 wastegate porting link. Very informative on boost creep and overboost. -> Aaron Cake: Extreme S4 Wastegate Porting

And +1 on the S5 wastegate. I ported my S5 wastegate passages for peace of mind.

he asked about raising boost, porting is for more consistent lower boost.

then he referred to modifying the wastegate actuator with another port. yes you can add a second port to the wastegate controlled by a solenoid to raise boost. this is how the FD3S controls boost as well as the series 5.

basically the original question was: how to install a boost controller.
to which the answer is: most boost controllers come with installation instructions and it is rather simple.

I wouldn't really be buying one, moreof making my own manual one. It wasn't about how to install it, moreof has anyone added a second port to the s4 wastegate, with a manual boost controller. Nothing fancy store bought.
