porting the waste gate question
porting the waste gate question
from my list of mods (see sig) do i need to port my waste gate?... i just purchesed a piggy back system that will alow me to raise my fuel cut, and add more fuel to level everything out... it is a stock S5 motor... i dont plan on turning up the boost or anything so do i need to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors?

You won't be able to keep the boost at a manageble level unless you port the bitch..

i dont think you'll need to. i have a s4 turbo with s-afc2, 3" tid, 3" turbo back exhaust and have never experienced boost spike even on the coldest days. thats a s4 which is more prone to boost spike than the s5. if u ever pull off the turbo one day and you're still paranoid about it then port it.
see how you go and if it spikes then port it.

I did the cai, and cutted the cats. later still the same of corse so I had to port mine out to east jesus and back my new puck is twice the size of the stocker and I had to go to the edges and even blend the wakk to keep it from hitting. still creeps about 1psi (no big deal)
