porting the waste gate question

from my list of mods (see sig) do i need to port my waste gate?... i just purchesed a piggy back system that will alow me to raise my fuel cut, and add more fuel to level everything out... it is a stock S5 motor... i dont plan on turning up the boost or anything so do i need to upgrade the fuel pump and injectors?

thx

YES.......

you say you don't want to turn up the boost.....

You won't be able to keep the boost at a manageble level unless you port the bitch..

i dont think you'll need to. i have a s4 turbo with s-afc2, 3" tid, 3" turbo back exhaust and have never experienced boost spike even on the coldest days. thats a s4 which is more prone to boost spike than the s5. if u ever pull off the turbo one day and you're still paranoid about it then port it.
see how you go and if it spikes then port it.

CRAZY MY CAR WAS HITTING FUEL CUT WITH A FREGGIN CAT BACK ONLY.!!!!

I did the cai, and cutted the cats. later still the same of corse so I had to port mine out to east jesus and back my new puck is twice the size of the stocker and I had to go to the edges and even blend the wakk to keep it from hitting. still creeps about 1psi (no big deal)

Have you ever seen a stock S4 wastegate port? You can barely stick your finger in it. Boost spikes are irrelevant to this discussion, we're talking about boost creep, i.e. the inability to keep boost under control. If you're truely able to do that with those mods then either someone has ported your wastegate or there's something very wrong with your turbo. How much boost are you running?
