Still having starting issues....
So some of you might recall a few months ago I posted about Crusty appearing to have some sort of ignition issue with starting.

Second: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ight=coil+pack
Well, that was about that. I hadn't had time again until more recently to start screwing with the car again, and I'm still having problems, and I'm thinking it's not so much ignition related now as both the coil packs and the CAS are testing with a volt meter right where they are supposed to.
I was thinking maybe the starter.......... As the motor would spin fine, but wouldn't crank over at all. I was still baffled though as it just didn't sound like it was even trying to spark...
So the other day I'm messing with it again and I plop a different battery in and didn't realize I had it sitting in backwards. I connected the terminals barely, just long enough to realize "ah, that's wrong" and got it out of there. Now the motor won't spin at all.... Did I pop a fuse? I checked all of them on top and underneath and they all seem fine, but I can't think of anything else that would be causing this issue.
So at present time, absolutely NOTHING happens when I turn the key. No clicks, no beeps, nothing.....
Any idea what the deal is?

IVE BENN HAVING THIS DAMN PROBLEM EVER SINCE I BOUGHT MY GXL!!First it was the solinoid on the starter then the (bad) starter caused the solinoid to go out i rebuilt the starter and i was cranking very slow... come to find out it was my ignition switch, got the car to start with a button and it turns over very fast but im still blowing fuses alot so im going to have to rewire everything...check your ignition switch! if you know how to hotwire your car see if it will start by touching the two wires.im almost sure its the ignition swicth....good luck.

As far as your no clicks or beeps after incorrectly installing the battery goes, you may have fried the battery. Get another, or borrow one and try that to see if there's a difference. Mine had sat up a while and I had trouble getting it to start, so I kept running the battery low and having to recharge it. I took it out to recharge it, and did the same as you when reinstalling it and it fried it. It would give enough juice to light the dome light, but nothing when I turned the key like yours. It just barely contacted like you said, but it was enough to ruin it. Just a thought. As far as your other starting difficulties go, I would advise ruling out bad plugs. I had a very similar problem with mine, and i thought I had cleaned the plugs properly. But after trying everything else that I could think of, I eventually replaced the plugs and she fired right up. Good luck to you, I know this **** is frustrating, especially on a tight budget.

Thanks for the input guys...
Not thinking it's the battery though as I tried connecting it to another car (running nonetheless) and it still wouldn't do anything.
Any other input?
