whats up with poor porting jobs lately. seems like people are getting screwed left and right. good lesson though, dont get someone to port your engine unless you know they know wtf they are doing.

Too many kids starting shops when they have no business working on their own cars, let alone other people's.

It would be worthwhile to invest in a porting template, if you're a newbie.

definitely... instead they are out there ******* up perfectly good irons that could help keep rotaries on the road in the future, there isn't an unlimited supply of these irons just laying around for the future.

The correct answer is I don't know. I was really really pissed after driving 5 hours and paying a good bit of money for this motor and installing it only to pull is a week later. The guy who I bought it from now lives in Arligton, south of DFW and had just moved there from NOLA after the storm. HE had just bought it from a guy who rebuilt it is florida. He did not know the guys name ect. It could be that him or one of his friends did it and did not want to admit to it. As you might could imagine I was very anxious to find out who did this work myself but the guy I bought it from never could come up with a name. We did however square off and he made it up to me, so there is no bitterness towards him from me now, he is also a fellow fourm member. I honestly felt like the guy I bought this motor from had no idea how poorly it was done and was honest himself. When he sold it to me he never even mentioned the fact that it was ported, I don't think he knew.
