well I finally got my 7 reinsured , I had a massive idle problem earlier this year that I thought I ended when I resoldered and cleaned up the wiring harness... but after insurung it and ripping around for 30 minutes or so...

the idle became slightly erratic after I stopped and it died.. I tried to restart it and nothing , it cranks and catches for a beat or 2 then dies...

I let it sit for 20 minutes or so and I got it to start.. it idled really erraticly , and I had to feather the pedal to keep it running... when I tried to bring up the rpm's it felt like it was stuttering..

after I got it going it ran fine at higher rpm's .. I limped it home when I let it idle it died again

its been sitting al summer and it'll be a **** off if I dont get to drive it before the snow flies...

 

that makes me REALLY sad....
have you checked everything?

 

Did you check your TPS?

wow I checked my tps as shown on fc3spro.. it read 1.5K closeed and open went DOWN to .55K ???

 

Alright I set the tps at 1.0K ohms closed , but the WOT is still less than 0.7 k
the idle is a bit rougher and has a little play , but only 50rpm +/- it sits about 650 - 700ish

I havent gotten a chance to take it for a rip and see if it still dies warm
I imagine it will though with the reading on the tps

 

i have the same problem.Did the tps tuning fixed the problem?
