ok under my shift boot on my 91 vert there are two plugs i small white/female and one big white/male. now there are also 4 wires that have been cut and taped. is there a plug missing? would these got to the revers lights or to something under the fog light/mirrow switch? will continue to look. . . . thanks

 

what color are the wires? and are they directly under the shift boot or are they under the middle console where the change holder is?

 

fog light.side mirror switch.
maybe security/alarm button.
wire connectors were usually kept on as part of the harness even though some of the components were not actually on the car when produced..(say manual mirrors but has a connector for the Electrical mirrors)

blue/black
big plug=green/red

4 bare wires=black
black/yellow
black/red
green
under the coin tray.
security light (good)
mirror switch (good)
fog light = dark green and a light green
4 pin plug=2 black wires
red/light blue
black/yellow
2 other wires taped off=red/white and a red/black
