Emissions removal: LIM question.
What is the function or functions of the vacuum hoses that go between the two injectors and the one dead center on the bottom, and is it safe to have them capped in this fashion?
I plan to use the center one to provide vac to the FPR so that will not be capped.
Thanks.

Let's get silly...

Those are injector bleeds. They are supposed to see pre-throttle body air. I never found any reason not to hook them up. Supposedly aids in atomization and fuel dispersion. Cant recall on the other one. I think its just a typical vac port...
That is an S5 turbo manifold?

Yes it is. This is the first time my uim has been off since the last owner 13 years ago (the car is been stored for a loooong time)... I'm finding alot of questionable electrical tape and some questionable vacuum hose routing. (that pic is actually from rotaryresurection)

This is what mine looks like as of yesterday. It's pretty daunting to look at for the first time. At least it is for me.
Waiting for my omp block off kit from banzai, and I will pack up the injectors to be sent off this weekend. I figure they should be gone through after 20 years. Once again I assume I should take off the UIM at that point and give it a good power wash and replace the gasket.
The big nipple on the back of the UIM goes to the 4 way vac splitter that goes to the oil injectors (i assume) so I can remove that and plug the nipple.
One of the small nipples on the back of the UIM had a broken hose just dangling, I have not tracked down where it should of been plugged into.
