TonyD89: I measured it with a digital caliper *shrug* that's close enough not to matter. 1-1/8" should be fairly easy to find.
The only reason I measured it was because of the non-descripte size. I found it hard to believe it would not fall out on a nice nominal metric dimension like 30mm. Everything else on the car is metric so an 1-1/8" hole would be very strange. Maybe it's undersized to except a sqeeze in 30mm gasket for the wiper for a compression seal?

By the way, the hole I measured is in a spare hatch glass I have in the basement. It's for sale if anyone is interested. Glass only, no hatch frame. The rear defrost worked perfect right up to the time of removal.

i took all this apart the other day, the hole in the glass is big (didn't measure it), but the wiper pivot is small (~16mm). so the wiper doesn't completely fill the hole in the window. my wiper motor isn't quite centered in the hole either, although its close enough, and there are big pieces of rubber on either side.

there is a washer 87-132A in the parts drawing, that is 40mm in diameter, the little thing i drew up would basically replace that with a nut on the bottom and no through hole

Not many junkyards are anymore, unless they are high class, then they check your toolbox before you leave

yea the auto wrecking business is really going belly up these days. many are closing their doors. price of scrap has been plummeting. not tomention people don't bother with older cars anymore. and most newer vehicle components can be found for cheap from lower grade suppliers.
