plugging the rear windshield wiper hole
Since my rear windshield wiper isn't working I was thinking of plugging it. Anyone recommend or have any good ideas to do this?

go to the autowreckers. pilfer firewall plugs of appropriate size. install. admire
|
we dont have u-pulls.
I would hit up ebay/google or local hardware store. Head for the aisle that has the drawers of misc. shit in them In a pinch you can use a piece of tape |
I used a plug from an Acura Integra I believe?

I don't mind purchasing something. I don't have the time to go to a pick a part. I would also doubt the life and sealing ability of something from there |

Actually I just checked my purchase history, it was for a CRX. Measure your hole, IIRC the CRX plug was a larger diameter than the Integra.
where did you buy it- help the guy out |
dorman's "help!" brand probably sells brand new plugs. measure the hole and hit the autoparts store
|
I just have black electrical tape over mine.... >_>
Mazda used to actually sell a plug for it (for the GTUs apparently), but it's no longer available... FB01-67-517 https://www.mazdamotorsports.com/wcs...07671_1000.gif subscribing to this thread to see what you find. |
i took mine apart, measured everything up, and if there is any interest we could have it made. its pretty simple

I have an re a type 2 wing that I had a shop fill in the antenna home with fiberglass. Looks super clean.

I just stumbled accross this:
NWP4LIFE: AFH- ****FIREWALL PLUGS**** thread. look inside! http://crxcommunity.com/viewtopic.ph...8&start=0#wrap you'll have to measure it, but it looks like honda has a whole bunch with part numbers with this format: 95550-"diameter in mm"000 so 25mm plug: 95550-25000 I'll measure the hole tonight sometime. |
also, just for the sake of being complete. Mazda still makes an antenna hole plug:

that makes way more sense.... thanks j9fd3s. If I looked at the picture correctly I would have saw that instead of what I wanted to see :)
TonyD89: I measured it with a digital caliper *shrug* that's close enough not to matter. 1-1/8" should be fairly easy to find. |

that plugs not really designed to seal tho. not like a firewall plug
|
if I went into a junk yard over here and asked the guy to find me a firewall plug he will do one of 2 things:
charge me $100 to look through all the cars for it OR He will tell me to go fuck myself |
