Please make fun of me.. what is the..

What does the connection on the top of the front rotor housing (maybe intermediate) under the oil filer neck that points to the rear of the car. I removed the spiders nest during my microtech install project. I have 95% of everything back but I don't remember what that went too.

I plug it off last night because I wasn't sure.

Also, any ideas where to run the hose from the oil filer neck to now?

Do people use catch cans on the FC?

"crank" case vent.. Some people use catch cans, some leave it open vented with a mini filter

alright heres my problem in a little more detail...from idle if i floor the car, the RPM will jump to about 1 1/2 - 2000 RPM and the fuel will cut off ryte away...thats wen i see the RPM drop back to idle and in about 2 seconds while still holding the pedal to the floor the Exhaust will POP!!! and a cone shaped flame will shoot out of my N1's and pieces of converter will come out with it all burnt....it feels as if something is clogged...could it be the injectors? because if i slowy gas it, the car will reach to about 5000 rpm smoothly then cutt off again as i try to reach 6000....im hoping its not the OMP because right now im trying to remove it and its a pain in the *** to get to the bolts...especially since i cant get the clutch fan out of the way *STRIPPED BOLTS IN A CRAMPED AREA SUCKS*

If I had to guess I would think your timing is way off or something. Maybe the knock sensor is retarding the timing once you hit the 15-2000 rpm's

Although not sure how the FC knock implementation works. I know my WRX will do stuff like that to protect itself. Change plug wires or mess witht the CAS lately?

The CAS is the thing that lookslike a distributor.

Also make sure your plugs are going to the right place..

Trailing plugs are on top and the front rotor is 1 and the rear is 2.

wow Hijacked to a new topic.

I am curious as what people have done with the vent on the oil filler neck. I have a little breather filter on it and I still get crud and vapor under the oil cap. anybody have any hints. I think that is the same thing wrx is asking

I have a Jaz catch can left over from some other projects that has two inlets and a breather on the top. It also has a drain valve on the bottom.

I was planning on running a hose from the vent on the oil filer neck to the crankcase vent I asked about earlier.

That way when the crud builds up on the can I can just drain it.

Why not just leave the crankcase breather and PCV valve intact and avoid the whole hassle? If it's such a big deal and you think it's ugly, chrome it...

Just to clarify, the little thing that is on the housing (even below the filler neck) is different than the tube on the filler neck right? the lower one goes to the charcol canister I believe.
