Please Help, Car Revs Up Slow

It was running fine one day, then the next day i went to crank it up and it was hard to start, it wouldn't hardly idle and it wont rev past 3000 rpm. I checked for vacum leaks, replaced fuel filter, and cleaned the bac valve. It still wont hardly idle and it will rev up to 5000 rpm now but it still revs really slow.

check compression after letting the car cool off for 30 minutes, numbers should read 85-120psi

if that checks out, put new spark plugs in and i would replace the fuel pump

Do you have an S5. I ask because it sounds like your car is on Limp mode. Is your check engine light on?

For future reference 88rx7man89, S4 and S5 are the different series of the cars, 86-88 is Series 4 and 89-91 is Series 5. They all had the 13b (the turbo was 13bt).
