ok...first the car wouldn start at all..if would just crank and the motor would move..so i read up on flooding..took the spark plugs out..put some atf and got a new battery...finally the damn things starts and ofcourse smokes a lot..(white smoke) but after like 5-7 seconds it dies...even if i press on the gass pedal while is fired up...i tried it like three times and it did the same thing....starts and then dies...my dad said it could be the injectors...so i took em off..two of them did look dirty...

Check the plug that plugs into your BAC valve, replace the spark plugs. Check for vacum leaks

white smoke is probably coolant, not good, was it blue at all? maybe just too rich or you burn up the access fuel from it flooding

I don't know about sending them unless the tips are cracked to ****. Other wise fuel injector cleaner should do it. I have RC engineering injectors currently in my fc

it sounds like you could have an afm problem. Test that first. Also if your alternator is acting up, it will affect the afm. One way you might be able to tell is to listen to the air box when someone steps on the gas....there's this weak odd sucking sound when the afm isn't opening right. If its the AFm itself, you'll need special tools for that.....but if the car is runnng and you turn on the lights and it dies right away, its the alternator.

good luck.

The AFM is the Air Flow Meter. That in my opinion, could be your problem...

Here is how it works....

When you turn your key to start, you activate the fuel pump. When you return the key to "run" if the AFM isnt sending a signal to the fuel pump saying its pulling air, then the fuel pump will shut back off.

Hence the reason your car only runs for about 5-7 secs... Make sure your WHOLE intake system is intact, from the AFM to the Throttle body.

The AFM is the box located under your air filter (assuming you have a stock filter box)

I really dont think that the AFM is bad, and if it is, I have another one I would sell you cheap. New they are $400.00.

Like I said, check EVERYTHING! Check the connector to the AFM. Make sure the big black tube that runs from the AFM to the Throttle Body is installed and NOT leaking.

There should be a link arond here somewhere that tells how to test it, I dont have that comitted to memory.

*edit* I just thought of something. You can Jumper your fuel pump connector (yellow 2 prong connector, right side of car, by air filter). This will run the pump ANYTIME the key is on. If your car runs with that jumpered, you may have another problem. ( think that works..I may go test the theory later.... I am speaking theoretically here...)

This is the way I cleaned my injectors:

1. C-Clamped them to a bucket.
2. Ran some fuel line to them.
3. Sprayed Carb cleaner into them while I manually opened them with an old car battery (2 wires running from the injector)

I can give you more detail if you like, but the point is to hardwire one line to the battery(neg or pos, doesnt matter), and tap the other one on the other post. Dont hold it there long, or it could burn out the injector.

I will get pics later, I got to go to work...

ABSOLUTELY! That is precisely what happened... You have to have the ENTIRE intake together in order for the vehicle to run..

im an idiot for wasting your time man..hahaha...i didnt know....had a damn honda for toooo long....ok...let me re-cap this so that i make sure i have everything ok to go..

you have to have everything (intake) connected...for the car to actually run?? i had it so that i could see the butterflyes exposed...i cleaned my injectors with some carb. choke cleaner...now if you could go into detail (pictures if you can) as to how i can clean the injectors by connecting the fuel line and stuff...thanks again man..

You arent wasting my time man... This is a lesson I learned from this site. The ENTIRE intake system has to be hooked up in order for the car to run...

As far as pics for cleaning injectors, I am gonna have to hit you with that tomorrow...I am too drunk to do it right now...
