plastic water pump neck

plastic water pump neck

i want to get rid of it and go with a metal one. i thought i remeber seeing a while back how to use a 3rd gen neck on a s5 water pump. i couldnt find it in my searches. its not leaking yet i just have a couple other leaks and would like to replace the ticking time bomb of a neck.

So buy a new plastic one. The one you have has lasted 15 years and still hasn't cracked. There's no reason to expect a new one won't do the same.

go to a wrecking yard and pull one off a car, if they have any 7's, there. shouldn't be more than a couple of bucks.

his isn't leaking, by replacing it with one from a wrecking yard he would likely install a problem, this is not one of those pieces that is good to pull off a used motor.

word. even the one on my new reman developed a crack after less than half a year.
