Plastic Transmission mounts
I have a friend with a 240SX and he was telling me about some plastic transmission mounts that help with performance in turns or something like that, that he could get for his car. I was wondering if they had anything like this for RX7's.

I haven't heard of plastic ones, I believe they would crack. There's Urethane, polyurethane, and solid mounts. I think I've seen mounts of different materials than this, but none of them were plastic..

strike up the paean
lol. plastic motor moutns that help with TURNING?
thank your friend for once again making us 240sx owners look like idiots.
i think he was talking about polyurethane mounts, which are a cheap DIY job. take your stock mounts out, degrease them and smother them with window weld polyurethane. let dry a week and pop them back in. w00t! engine doesn't shake like a bitch anymore. it's a typical 240sx problem. the mounts get old and the engine flops back and forth like a dead fish, especially during a cold start.
btw, the performance gain in poly (or any stiffer) mounts, is better throttle response. smack your friend upside the head on behalf of all us 240 owners.

I think that the polyurethane mounts are the ones.
By the description you gave aznpoopy, that sounds like what he would have been talking about. so if that answers your question xfeastonarsex, thats good. otherwise i dont know, he didnt really tell me what they did or replaced so i dunno.
I will tell him that he is an idiot for us all, and smack him.
Thanks.
