I have never seen this before... what is it? It has a vacuum hose that goes to then inside of the LIM, this is on an 87 TII.
Today was the first time in a while i've been in a totally stock engine bay... Yuck. It has ps, ac, and about every other damn cluttering option that could make the thing more crowded. I cant wait to get all that crap out of there. At least it doesnt have ABS...

It's the bottle for the Sub-Zero start system that was removed on a factory service bulletin years ago. See the Fuel section of the FSM.
By the way, if you remove it, put it away. I think there may be a nostalgic value to the parts for someone who restores RX-7 later down the line.

Wow, thanks. What does it do? My computer's way too slow to find it in the pdf fsm... I'm just curious, i will definitely remove it, i just want to understand what i'm removing.
It would inject fluid (don't ask me what....some kind of ether perhaps? lol) into the engine during sub-zero conditions to assist its start up.
But to be honest, I've seen LIM's where the actual inlet for it is not even machined into the runners....meaning there was actually no PHYSICAL way for fluid to enter the intake track. And I have a J-Spec mani. that doesn't even has a casting for it.

Or you can hotwire it and fill it with water, run the hose back through the firewall and use it with an old washer nozzle to spray passengers.
When they freak out, and ask what it is, tell them your car only does that to people it hates, and to keep an eye out for the seatbelt releasing and the door flying open.

i used it for my washer fluid with black dragon's external pump. i did it so i route ducting to my brake calipers in the front. removing the stock washer fluid tank creates symitry and alot more space by the front wheels.

Or fill it with water and bleach and run the hose with a washer nozzle to your drive wheel(s) - hit the bleach fogger and do a 3 minute burnout without messing up your tires.
Or fill it with ketchup and use it for drive-thru frenchfries!
Or mix it with 10 parts sweet and sour, 1 part Tequila and 1 part Triple Sec, run the hose in a couple of loops around your AC coil under the dash, and have a chilled margarita dispenser in your car! Wait... that might not be a good idea.
Run it to your wheelwell with a low-slung motion sensor, and have the only car that pees on dogs!
or! or! or!
But if you're not going to do anything fun with it, just get rid of it.
