Pineapple Racing HD water seals?

What's the verdict on these? Have many used them with great success? I tried searching but the trheads were older and didn't give a definitive answer. I have a set I got with my rebuild kit from them.Went with them as they had the best rotor housing prices when included with the kit at the time. I still have to do a Mazdatrix order and could get some stock ones but don't want to waste the money if these work as advertised. Thanks.

I have run them for years without issues. They are somewhat more resilient than stock.

Thanks. I think I will run them. Did you use hylomar with them? That is what I used years ago with the stock ones.

You would have to ask Rob (owner of Pineapple) he built my engines...

We've been running them for several years. Everything is good.

i believe they are viton like mine, if so hylomar is fine. the only thing they will absorb in mentionable amounts is xylene(paint thinner or nail polish remover, it will drink it like water and blow it up like a balloon at about a 60% absorption rate). oil, coolant, vaseline, gasoline and hylomar resulted in less than 5% absorption rate from my personal tests.

saying so they probably do not like other alcohols either, like ethanol in large amounts and may deteriorate versus silicone. i have not tested them in ethanol, which i probably should know before building anything that may use E85. the gasoline contained 10% ethanol and didn't phase them much so the gasoline may cause the alcohol to not readily absorb and weaken the material.

I want to use these on my next rebuild whenever that is, if I had known they were superior to stock I would've asked to have them ordered for my current.

Either way overheating your engine is bad and seals can only prolong the inevitable.
