pics - tri strut tower & torque brace - HUGE PICS !!!!

SAMPS fowarded me some larger pics of his setup.

This is the Mazdatrix TRI-point strut tower & torque brace.

Basically it links/stiffens the firewall, strut towers, and engine. Because it attaches to the engine, you recover a bit of torque/hp as the engine can't jerk during strong acceleration.

And the pictures (tweeked & resized).

Yo,

I've been thinking of getting one of those, but I'd have to drill 4 holes in the GTUs. A definite no-no.

Those holes are a major pain in the *** too. You better be preaty handy with a drill or you will do some damage. The one hole is directly above a rubber hose and it takes a perfect shot to miss it. But I do recommend this to everyone. It makes a VERY noticeable difference.

I highly recommend the kit from Mazdatrix. The dampening rod is a quality piece. It has bushing to absorb..some of the vibrations.

Nice pics...all you need now is the turbo. :@)

Where exactly does it connect to the engine? Just left of the alternator?

I have the version of their strut tower bar that doesn't bolt to the firewall, and I don't have the torque brace. It's a nice piece.
