thats what im thinking i just want some input before i get started....im thinkin gof making something that will fit the intercooler underneat and then maybe some sort of vent on top with the vents on the side...im in love with those because trying to do otherwise is way to complicated...itll look nice....if people want it then they can buy it

I personally want a vented hood to work with a HMIC like Blue T2. Ian, what do you think?? Will this hood be suffice for that, or should we get a scoop like the SCOOT hood for the FD. Different shape of course. lol.

I like this one! Funtional and not over the top. Looks very much like what all the Japanese are doing on the hoods of their track/track wannabe cars- hell you even see AE86s w/ these hoods!

If the quality is there my money will be too

Some sort of intake vent right where the intake is, directly behind the headlight would be wicked.

For the vented hood for t2's with tmic, why not have the scoop, and just vent it on the sides of the scoop so that the hot air doesn't flow out of the bay, and right back into the tmic scoop. Something like what the RE does, but not down the middle. More off to the sides, as not to have air flow into the scoop. That would be sweet. I'm all about the RE hood. That **** is hot. that's all I have to say.

Sorry for the crudeness but here goes.

The black lines on the left and right of the scoop would be the vents and the one onf the pass. side would be some sort of scoop for the intake. the red on the main vent means that it would not be included in the design for the TII hood.

Just tryin to help

What we ment is on the hood though not on the headlight cover. Although a flush scoop on the headlight cover and a protruding one on the hood would probably maximize the amount of air going to the intake.

if i did it that way would the air actually be going past the intake once the scoop went back far enough
how about a mini t2 scoop?

No no no, a hood just like you are making for your NA would do me just fine.

Here is a pic of my set-up-
IC intake is from the front rubstrip being cut out and it vents out the hood. I just have an NA hood and add on vent to use right now.

i remember your thread a while back about that horizontal mount project. can i run an FD upper intake manifold with a stock ECU? what about upper AND lower? sooo much cleaner.

aight

aight fellas....glass for the mold is drying...this stuff is a breeze...and i fianlly have a liveable t2 design in mind without the funkiness....its gonna be the same but roofed over with with vents going along the back...so its still gonna be reverse cowl, it wont have a scoop directly to the intercooler but it will fit underneath...now in order to compromise the scoop and since evey idea to keep all thewst things on one hood seemed to crash out and look like trash i decided to compromise and get rid of the scoop...keep the same basic design...BUT....imagine the RE amemiya style vents along the back of the roof of the cowl over the intercooler kinda like scoot but straight back and only one line not two and scoop in front for the intake...this is sick and final....so lemme photoshop one up so u guys can get what im saying, but im running out of money and out of food so i need some input

i like your first idea just bring it forward like 4 inches.......why? first most people that buy this hood will have an electric fan two it would work perfect for "blue tII" and my setup which is alot similar.. those weird tII photoshops don't do it the stock location for tII hood scoop is in the wrong pressure zone air is pulling there. the reverse cowl is the way to go...... stick with the first scoop idea don't bite your own head off to make other people happy. if you were to sell the hood with the reverse scoop where it's at or forward 4 inches i will buy it and many other will buy it..

^^^^damn that picture on the post before morph that to fit a fc and your in bisnatch just make sure the cowl is forward enough^^^^^

that hood is looking really sweet! I ordered a bolt in reverse hood vent for the stock turbo II hood 2.5 months ago from japan and still haven't seen it not nearly as good as a full hood. but alot cheaper
