To attach the pics you should go to the test section of the forum. Upload your pics there onto the forum server. Then open the picture, copy it's URL. Come back to this thread. Click on Post a Reply, not the quick one. Then select, "IMG". Paste the URL there. and Voila you got your pics.

I assume that the scoop is centered, correct? Just for reference on the T2 hood the scoop if off centered. Just in case that info may be helpful to your future plannig for T2 hoods.

I personally want a vented hood to work with a HMIC like Blue T2. Ian, what do you think?? Will this hood be suffice for that, or should we get a scoop like the SCOOT hood for the FD. Different shape of course. lol.

Thanks and great job.

IT's like deja-vu, all over again...

Dude, look here. After you attatch the pic to the post, it is *already hosted* by the forum. Now all you have to do is get the link from the forum, edit your post, and insert the link between the[img] tags to make it show automatically. To find the link, click on the attatchment, view the pic, and copy the link above the pic. Now edit your post, hit the IMG button, and paste in the link. Now save these changes and the pic will show up.

guys i got the pics thing taken care of........i want the lil sig thing on the left......ima sick of the sign...its cool and all but i want my own.....and about the t2 design i came up with one but it doesnt get the air to it.....so im thinking of something i can do to modify my current design to fit and get some air directly to it because fitting it underneath is no problem.....it would be same shape but with a bubble then the cowl instead....but then u would just be sucking air out and none to the tmic.....and scoot would be an interesting design....but it would have to be more blocky and flow with the fc....symetry is good.....a scoot hood from an fd would look silly on and fd.....so ill have to think....and i still have yet to get the one i have already copied and off the ground yet so ima keep pluging away

aight got the gel coat down...the t2 hood shouldnt be too much more once i have the mold down for this one i can go ahead and start modding the hood that i have for the t2....so the basic idea in mind is something similar to a wide t2 style scoop on top across wider arm and a bit taller coming a bit further back with scoops on the side to flow the excess air out.....ill post some pics so i can get some replies and some input, and guys kkeep in mind that this stuff is for youamd for your input so u can have it come out somehat they way that you want so let me know gentleman....

think vents like these on the side..this is what i am talking about

the scoops are the ones towards the corners of the hood so imagine something similar

here are some crappy paintshop pics of a possible t2 version that i have in mind abe careful looking cuz there is somewhat of an optical illision that makes it look like the scoop roof is invers and not a roof so keep that in mind....and just imagine that but a little wider across the hood with those scoops on the side......anyone be interested

this is more of a technical question-- as far as placement of the vents, would this be optimum for venting out the hot air in the engine bay? anyone know which areas of the hood and under hood are high and low pressure?

i have no clue really.....just have to think about it.....u also have to keep in mind the airflow underneath the car but im not trying to build a car to break the world speed record nor am i an aero physicist but i used to watch the discovery channel loool.....anyhow i get what ur saying but with the turbo hood version that i am trying to kick out people want the reverse cowl....they also want it for there turbos.....so simple idea is to keep the same shape just raise the slope to the arms and the make a lil roof out of it to cover the intercooler then past that point you can slant down to the outlet and then uve got ur reverse cowl...it down look too much different...but then another issue is that peeps want airflow directly to the intercooler which causes another issue so im having to come up with these freak ideas that actually look a hell of alot better in my head then they do in the photoshop pics....so imagine the pic that i just posted with those scoops in the corners because you are going to have excess air into the the engine bay and i remember reading on another thread how people putting t2 hoods on their NA's screw up the airflow in their engine bays...so with the reverse cowl u have hot air coming out, right in front of the fan....plus the difference in pressure of air hitting that front lip...then some of that hotter air thats coming out will go back into the next scoop to the intercooler but will be mixed with air from outside flowing oevr the hood......then this air will flow back and out the side vents keeping it cooler in general...will look sick.....and will be lighjter than a stock hood.....but the general effect is to look cool......

you should also put a little vent over where the air filter is to get cooler air to the filter (for aftermarket ones) just an idea I had.

I just want my hood!!!!!

this is more of a technical question-- as far as placement of the vents, would this be optimum for venting out the hot air in the engine bay? anyone know which areas of the hood and under hood are high and low pressure?

the original reverse scoop thing is positioned in a place that it would create a vacuum effect and suck air out of the engine bay. it should not only vent hot air, but help pull air through the radiator. I *think*

Hey wouldn't the TII "version" of your hood take in the hot air you're supposed to vent out back into the TMIC?

yeah that was one concern but it wouldnt be al of it considering the air coming out would mix with the fresh air over the hood and if anything it would create more airflow through the engine coming back out thro the vents on the side
i need to do some more photoshop
