Pics of the new Fiber Images TII Hood

I just picked up the first TII hood from Fiber Images today. Man is this thing nice. No issues of fitment or straight lines like the last ones had occasionally. These are just flat out pimp

Weight on them seems to be right at about 11-13lbs, but I will weight it to be sure and let you know. It is lighter than the previous version though

Yes they have color options. They are as follows:

Red
Blue
Yellow
Silver
Black (regular)

I will call to see if they have anymore tomorrow, but I think that is it. The cost difference is $150 for a color other than black.

I would assume color CF wouldn't be a prob. All you do is get the Carbon Kevlar with dye instead of reg CF cloth.

Question on the hood.

The new fiber image. hood....
Is it full CF or CF cover with Fiberglass center?

The frame.
Is it CF as well?Fiberglass?metal?

I'm almost ready to buy one just trying to have some money in reserve after buying.

Dave,

Sweet - I might sell my C/F hood and buy a blue one.

If you can scan in some of the c/f colored material and/or closeup pics of the colors in outdoor light, that'll help me figure how close the colors are to stock paint colors.

Thanks

The top skin is full CF and the bottom skin/frame is FG. For an additional $220 (ouch) the inner skin can be CF as well for a full CF hood.

They are $649 now ($50 more) due to the increased cost from the manufacturer.

Hey guys!! Why don't we get 10 ppl for RE Amemiya style CF hood??? That would be so much cheaper than getting the original and I think that hood looks SWEET. Anyone with me on this?

Dave, do you think that's doable?
