Pics of my ported/coated irons and coated ext w/g'ed s4 turbo manifold
tial 38mm wastegate on stock s4 turbo manifold routed to 3" RB SS Downpipe
twin scroll removed
downpipe and turbo manifold are both ceramic coated, downpipe is being re-coated in black.....lol d'oh!
irons are streetported w/ no increased overlap to pass emissions
ports are teflon coated, plates have a oil-retention (i think) coating
All coatings and turbo work done by elliot white from www.turblown.net
Engine was ported and will be built by glen weaver from www.azrotaryrockets.com
Both are personal friends of mine from arizona and I'm lucky to have such good friends that can do such awesome work on my car. Can't wait to get my car together and running. Engine should be together very early january i think.
Rotors are currently being clearanced. Need to have the rotating assembly balanced after that.

well. you were pushing what, 18psi man? Honestly I think something was up w/ your setup or just w/ the dyno.
You also mentioned that you didn't know the exact specs of your turbo.
I know seth (cymfc3s) threw down some pretty impressive numbers at really low boost on his black t2 w/ a h3 trim hybrid.
Anyways, I'm not after a lot of hp. I'm more after a well rounded powerband and some badass lowend.
My inspiration was FD w/ sequentials and bunch of bolt ons After driving a few of my friends FDs on sequentials I knew I wanted something like that.
I totally agree with you though. A full framed turbo is better in every way. But considering I'm a ***** and afraid of the cali cops, I just made something thatll look really stock. I like to call it super stock
If I was after power I wouldn't play around w/ a stock mount ic, hybrid and a cat. Or 3" exhaust for that matter
SmogSUX: I'm another ben, not another zach! lol

I am assuming that S4 Manifold is custom made by yourself or did you have a shop perform that for you? I would be interested in a simular modification for my S5 manifold and BNR Hybrid Turbo with use of Cork Sport Downpipe. Please let me know.

With the Higer compression rotors, you don't have to run as much boost and should see more low end TQ. Not to mention it'll start easier on really hot cali days.
Node: when the hell did you move out of PA? I thought that's where you used to live. Are you in college now?

Those sideplates are coated with an oil attraction/retention coating that is blended to be used in conjunction with the seals on the side of the rotor.

Honestly if you're not in Ben's position, I wouldn't bother with hybrids at all.
