Pics of my Engine almost done

Well I added the Vac stuff, wiring harness, and fuel lines today.

I also put on my UIM but didnt take pics.

I have removed the Vack Rack but kept the PCV and Hotstart solenoid.

Above you can see where I relocated the single solenoid left.

This is where I relocated the PCV. I used the S5 oil tube which the S5 boost solenoid is on. It made a good mount.

My baby which the 13bt is going in. 88 GTU

The Jspec core engine I used.

The engine after I got it from Kevin (Rotary Resurrection)

Pulling the NA Blown Coolant seal engine.

Bad engine pulled.

My polished manifolds

I still have to fab up a Oil Drina line for the turbo with some SS hose but I should be running by this weekend.

I polished them myself. I didn't do a job as good as a pro would have but it came out pretty good.

I used something like 120 grit,300,600,1000 then I went over it with a buffer and polishing compound.

They are a huge improvement over the rusted, sea salted color it was before. BTW it's a S5 Jspec manifold

At first the Red housings and Blue hose were looking nasty but it's coming together pretty well.

I painted a bunch of parts with 500` Silver engine paint and then sprayed a Metal Cast Blue Anodize paint over the parts which wouldn't see a lot of heat.

The stock oil cap is being replaced by my Atkins Rotor cap though!

I also painted my pulleys.

I didn't paint the insides of the waterpump one but got lazy and sprayed all the rest.

I expect the paint to be removed by the belts where needed in due time.

Oh and yes that's my really expensive engine stand(aka junk tire) Since I have the manifold on I can hoist it up with an engine puller now.

My Banged up TMIC. I am going to have to work on that damn dent on the intake.

I've done the coolant removal and secondary butterfly removal on my TB and Have painted the BAC Blue as well. You can kind of see it in the back.

My AN Stainless Steel braided oil return line.

Finally got the engine in the car today. Took me about 6 hours due to small problems.

I am going to hook up the fuel/oil/vac lines soon and then put the koyo "bling" radiator in.

Hopefuly it will run this week.

Oh yeah. By accident the damn engine came crashing down while half hoisted over my car!!! It mashed my hood rod and dented my passenger headlight cover a bit. That just means I have to get the CF air scoop cover along with my CF FC3S TII hood.

Hopefully.
I want to try and get on a dyno and see what the AFR's are so I can be sure I won't detonate. This is my daily driver and cannot afford to pop the engine.

Although I figure I'll be fine since I have cleaned and tested 550's and a Walbro.
