Well, it depends on what turbo you have I guess. They have one for a divided housing, and for a regular housing, etc. Wastegate setup is changeable for your application as well.

Just took this picture yesterday and thought it was neat. I was mocking up the wastegate runners. GT4088R on a custom 2" SCH10 stainless manifold that I made to fit the 6 port block with NA lower intake, Tial 44MM wastegate, 3.5" SCH10 (thick but quiet!) stainless downpipe. Still need to finish weld the wastegate runners and plumb the wastegate dump into the downpipe.

I've done the open wastegate dump before and it's fun for about 10 minutes. I want to quiet this car down a little. To that end, I've also installed an 18" long 3" resonator in the midpipe.

As for the v-bands, my entire exhaust is now v-banded. Real pain in the *** to keep everything lined up during welding. If I had to do it again I would tack, then finish weld each joint separately making to sure refit between welds.

It sits here:

I like my manifolds with long-radius gradual bends that meet at shallow angles. I always see people using short radius els and that must really hurt flow compared to standard radius. The two wastegate runners actually meet at a better angle then it looks in the picture. The passage between them is several inches long and as wide as the diameter of the pipe so flow won't be an issue. Still need to do the wastgate dump into the downpipe, so there's more plumbing to do...

So much pipe, next time I'm going NA!

I usually see full boost about 500-700rpm sooner and have seen as much as 1000rpm sooner vs some real crappy designs, The fact that you can control boost perfectly is just an added advantage.

So with twin wastegates would you have to run two boost controllers or would one be fine?

That is really neat though two and all....

Like I have a hybrid now and have so little boost controll and for some reason it pisses me off. I guess I am a control freak.

If I had a full setup I would just love to be able to set 7psi. And run that all day long up to redline if I choose. Then run 15psi when ever I want. That would be so damn nice.

I have setup a car that ran 3psi all day long, wot high speed pulls one after the other. 1 40mm wastegate.
