anybody redone there cluster? autometer, vdo, dakota digital, etc etc etc. Any pics you can post? aftermarket gauges in factory bezel, custom made bezel, etc.

your just talking about like replacing the speedo and stuff with aftermarket gauges in-place-of- right? not necessarily adding other gauges...i.e.oil temp, blah blah

please tell me how you did those
and do you think the same technique would work for an overlay for the heater controls?

Yea I did the heater controls with the same pic. What I di was scan the original gauges and change all the fonts to custom fonts cut and past the image (by the way any image you want)
then transfer the image to a plotter file and again transfer the image to an ft9, just the fonts and then the out line of the gauges. I then take some plexie paint it black or any color. Finally, i run an engraving machine at work, so I set the cutter so it will only cut out the paint.
photoshop the image w/ the fonts and adhere it to the plexi.

please tell me how you did those
and do you think the same technique would work for an overlay for the heater controls?

well, they do come out nice and red not to bright though. i am trying to get some red transparent plexieand some special paper to continue but there really isn't much interest in this type of work since most people would think it's ricy. Now the honda guys love the idea but the don't want to spend the money. I also try to use the original gauge faces and just remove the image on them and put my image. Another problem is finding images to put on the gauges to begine with. I only have one set of gauges to put an image on.
Finding an FB, FD, and an s4 w/ the gauge cluster is very dificult.
