I've never tried it, but it's popular with the Honda folks due to the cheap price; most LSD's are over $500.  It's funny they list one application for all FC's, so I guess they have no idea there's a difference between the NA and turbo models.

For the price of a new phantom grip you could probably buy 2 or 3 good used FC lsd's.

The problem is most used LSD's are worn.

well it turns open diffs into LSD's supposedly, so unless there is a special T2 with an open diff i think this thing should cover FC's .

i am however curious to know how this thing performs. i have talked to a couple people who thought about purchasing one but never went through with it and ended up gedding LSD's somewhere else. anyone have real experience with these?

edit: i mean on a rwd car of course.

Just a side note: You can buy new clutch plates for the 'worn' LSDs for not too much (MazdaTrix)

it works by creating a binding motion within the gears

Someone's never looked at TII's outside of North America...

That's right... only North American TII's came with LSD's on the standard model.

I dont think its like an lsd, nore like a locking (locked) diff. I know its big with the neon guys, don't know any higher hp honda's running them...

Kinda falls into the get what you pay for, for half the price of the phantom grip you can get your spider gear welded and have the same thing, just don't make any tights u-turns (ecspecially in reverse-)
