performance chip

A PERFORMANCE CHIP THAT CAN GIVE YOU A 15-20 HORSEPOWER INCREASE...

HOW IT WORKS:

"This Modification Transistor Will Give You Very Similar Results That An ECU (Electronic Control Unit) Upgrade Chip Will Do. This Modification Connects To Your Intake Sensor. It Works By Tricking Your ECU Into Thinking The Air Coming Into The Intake Is Colder Than It Actually Is, Therefore Causing It To Advance The Timing And Letting Out The Fuel Supply Creating More Horsepower."

do these things actually work???

"...And Letting Out The Fuel Supply Creating More Horsepower."
Anybody who has half a clue about how engines work knows that simply adding more fuel reduces power. It does not increase it. Ever.

It's a con...

skip it.....if it sounds too good to be true it's prolly for a Honda........like the 25-30 HP intakes ( which really consist of (2) 9 hp stickers and 5-7 HP increase....if even that. good luck and look into a full exhaust, intake, radiator and other things to make sure your 7 remains on the the road.

AEM, TRD, Mugen, NISMO... basically any stickers you can find.

Or you could do what I saw some kid with a CRX do. Cover it all in horrible rattle-can gloss paint, put some kind of 3-foot tall monstrosity of a wing on the back, and for some inexplicable reason replace the front badge with one from a Toyota (WTF???).

Chips aren't all bad. I'd stay away from all those cheapy ones from ebay. I bought a chip for my car and it actually maps out the fuel for increased boost. Is there a chip like that for the 13bt?

Yes there is... For the S4 models you have the Rtek ECU upgrades available at www.digitaltuning.com and for the S5's you have the RE-A Redom, Knight Sports, Panspeed, R-Magic, etc... They can be found pretty regularly on ebay...

We've covered this many times before. Closing the thread.

It's also funny that they call it a transistor, since it's clearly a resistor.
