Partial Bridge FC

Well Tonight me and my buddy Andy just finished puttin in his Half Bridge ported motor. It was our first time building a motor, none the less bridgeporting it. We spent 4 hours puttin it in and.....It started right up!!
At about 1500 RPMs it was real steady, but wouldnt idle. We just have to tinker with it, but DAMN!!! Such a good feeling!!! Just thought Id share it with you all!!!

I'll have some pics and possible some Sound bites later!!

I hope you left enough metal to suport the corner seals and O-rings.

I think 1500 *is* where idle speed should be...

Big ports are cool...

rotortuner... those are definitely '86-up housings, note the coolant seal grooves are in the side housings. '85-earlier engines are smooth there, and the grooves are in the rotor housings.

check teh pic above. You can see that it doesn't even get close to the water o rings. And there is a good amount on the bridge there too. Looks good.

The rotor housing will cover half of the bridge.

You guys need more practice with the die grinder!

Isn't it pretty hard to cut the housings in a straight line?
